Abstract
Aim of this survey was verifying the characteristics of the relationship between homeless people and dog. The results have allowed to know the motivation of this coexistence, the dog education and some aspects of everyday life of the couple. The pet plays a key role in this interaction and he is an important support to break social isolation, being able to communicate with others. The dog is a constant companion for those people with whom he share and face the difficulties of every day life.
